In each case, the company’s decision to do so was the result of the innovative partnership and long-term strategy between the City of Salem and the State of Oregon, who worked in unison with other government agencies to develop the shovel ready site to make it inviting for companies to locate.
Today, the Mill Creek Corporate Center is one of the largest industrial sites along I-5 in Oregon. Working collaboratively, the City of Salem and State of Oregon created a master plan for a 600-acre corporate, industrial campus that balanced economic development and environmental stewardship goals, and secured permits as well as federal and state funding to help companies with building there.
The collaboration between the City of Salem and State of Oregon has made the Mill Creek Corporate Center a sought-after location for businesses.
