FedEx – First completed MCCC Facility
FedEx opened its 50,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art distribution center in October 2009. It is equipped with 28 service doors on an eight-acre site that helps FedEx meet its capacity needs while serving Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.
Home Depot Rapid Deployment Center
The Home Depot® Rapid Deployment Center opened its 465,000 sq. ft. distribution center in early 2011. The $30.5 million facility serves company stores in the Pacific Northwest.The Home Depot facility is a 1/4-mile long with loading docks on both sides and ends. A conveyor system operates inside the building receiving products from supplier trucks on one side and then distributing them to Home Depot trucks on the other side. The building can handle an estimated 250 trucks, 24 hours a day, every day. No product will remain in the building for more than 24 hours which means there is no warehousing.
Henningsen Cold Storage
A 93-year-old Oregon family-owned, refrigerated warehousing company, Henningsen Cold Storage Company built a 166,000 square foot facility at Mill Creek Corporate Center in 2017. The facility will serve as an innovative hub of activity for food processors, providing infrastructure needed for an industry that accounts for approximately 50 percent of the region’s manufacturing base. This is the first of an anticipated three-phase development.
PacTrust has built two buildings at the Mill Creek Corporate Center. The investment provides much needed industrial space for companies looking to expand or locate in Salem. When completed, there will be six buildings totaling 395,000 square feet of commercial and industrial space.
Amazon completed its 1 million square foot facility in Salem, which will create more than 1,000 full time jobs and be a more than $100 million investment. Associates will pick, pack and ship larger customers items such as sports equipment, gardening tools and pet food.
